  • Training Programme for Newly Appointed Skilled Supporting Staffs

    A two days in-house Capacity Building Training program for the Skilled Supporting Staff of ICAR- Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora-263601, Uttarakhand was organized during March 27-28, 2019 to create awareness among the newly appointed skilled supporting staff about the good laboratory, field and office practices, safety measures while using chemicals (pesticides/ insecticides/ weedicides), basic computing skills, components of MS-Office (MS-Word, MS-Excel), file maintenance, Hindi in official procedures and practical use of Hindi for filling up the different official forms. The training also focused on demonstrations and hands on activities for the participants. Dr. Pankaj K. Mishra, HRD Nodal Officer, of the institute welcomed the participants and staff and briefed about the activities to be carried out during training programme.  

    Dr. J. K. Bisht, In-charge Director, ICAR-VPKAS highlighted the importance of training programme in improvement of knowledge and skill and further said that how new knowledge and skills obtained through training can help in improving the personality of an individual and his contribution to the output of the organization. He asked the skilled supporting staff to make full use of this training programme. Later-on different sessions of the training programme were conducted at Experimental Farm, Hawalbag of ICAR-VPKAS by Drs. Jitendra Kumar, Ganesh Vasudev Chaudhary, J. Stanley, Renu Jethi, Kushagra Joshi, Ankita Kandpal, Shri J. P. Gupta, B. M. Pandey & T. B. Pal (Hindi Officer). Eleven newly appointed skilled supporting staff (SSS) successfully completed the training. On completion of the training programme on March 28, 2019, certificates were distributed to the participants. The training programme ended with the vote of thanks by Dr. Pankaj K. Mishra (Nodal Officer HRD).
