With an intention to promote good agricultural practices among farmers through more scientific information under Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav programme, a scientist-farmer interface was held on August 29, 2019 in villages adopted under Chaukhutiya cluster. In the interface, scientific information was provided to farmers on integrated nutrient management (INM), disease management and drudgery reducing technologies in post-harvest practices in paddy crop. Fields of farmers were monitored for diseases namely blast and brown spot and appropriate remedial measures were discussed. Information on paddy thresher VL Paddy Thresher was given and farmers were apprised of its benefits over the traditional mechanism of paddy threshing. The demand of farmers for good quality seeds of improved varieties of rabi crops was also ascertained and farmers provided their feedback on institute varieties. VL 907, Wheat variety, was appreciated and was demanded for rabi season. About 30 farmers from three villages-Pechuni, Amsyari and Baralgaon participated in the interface.
