• Celebration of 70th Adoption of Constitution Day at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora

    ICAR-Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora celebrated ‘Constitution Day (Samvidhan Diwas) on November 26, 2020 to mark the 70th anniversary of adoption of the Constitution in India. All the staff members of the institute gathered at 11.00AM and read the Preamble to the Constitution and reaffirming their commitment to uphold its ideology.

    On this occasion, the Institute has organized a lecture on “Constitution of India” which was delivered by Dr. J.S. Bisht, Prof., Law faculty, SSJ University, Almora.  Dr. Bisht told the house about the Constitution of India in details. He told that Indian Constitution is the longest written constitution of any country. It was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26.11.1949 and became effective on 26.01.1950. He also discussed about the important Constitutional Amendments & their significance. He told the house about the historical background of Fundamental duties and elaborated all the fundamental duties.
